Giant Sequoia Trees

Los Angeles -päiviä seurasi ajomatka pohjoista ja Yosemiten kansallispuistoa kohti. Ennen Yosemitea yövyimme Sequoia National Parkin lähellä Three Rivers Campgroundilla ja aamulla kävimme ihmettelemässä maailman suurimpia puita (mammuttipetäjiä) kansallispuistossa.

Sequoiassa katsastimme lähinnä vain Great Forest Museumin ja General Sherman Treen, joka on arvioitu olevan tilavuudeltaan maailman suurin puu - ja sen ympäristö ihan täynnä turisteja. Yöksi ajettiin lähemmäs Yosemitea Oakhurstin Elk Lodge & TV Campiin, jossa ihastuttavat mummot ja paapat ottivat meidät lämpimästi vastaan.

After Los Angeles we drove north towards Yosemite National Park. Before Yosemite we spent the night in the neighborhood of Sequoia National Park at Three Rivers Campground and in the morning we went to see some of the biggest trees (giant redwood) in the world.

At Sequoia we visited the Great Forest Museum and the General Sherman Tree which is the largest tree on earth concidering its bole volume (not the tallest or even the widest). The night before Yosemite was spent in Oakhurst at Elk Lodge & TV Camp with some lovely seniors.
