Vaikka kotimaassa on ollut ihania kevätaurinkopäivä, mielessä on yhä elävänä New Yorkin aurinko (jota saatiin nauttia tarkalleen se kaksi päivää). Valtava Central Park oli ihan hotellimme sisäänkäyntiä vastapäätä, mutta vasta viimeisenä New York -päivänä kävimme kävelemässä siellä. Suuntana oli Strawberry Fields, joka on perustettu muistoksi Beatlesin edesmenneelle jäsenelle John Lennonille, joka murhattiin 1980. Strawberry Fieldsille pääsee Central Park Westin ja West 72nd Streetin kulmasta, jossa sijaitsee myös Lennonin asuttama (nykyään vielä Yoko Ono asuu siellä) Dakota Building. Murha tapahtui asunnon edessä.
It's finally sunny spring, but I'm still thinking of the sun in New York (which was there to enjoy for the whole of two days!). The huge Central Park was right at our hotel's doorstep but we didn't go there except for the last day in the city. I wanted to visit Strawberry Fields, the memorial of the Beatles member John Lennon, murdered in 1980. The access to Strawberry Fields is located on Central Park West at West 72nd Street where also Dakota Building, the house where Lennon lived, is. Lennon was murdered in front of the house in which Yoko Ono still lives.
