Top of the Rock

Yksi New Yorkin kohokohdista oli Top of the Rockin näköalatasanteilla Manhattanin maisemien ihastelu. Huikeat näköalat avautuivat Rockefeller Centerin 67., 69. ja 70. kerroksista. Olin kuullut etukäteen vinkkejä, että kannattaisi mieluummin nousta Top of the Rockiin, jotta näkisi Empire State Buildingin. Ja tulihan sitä monta kuvaa Empire State Buildingista sitten otettuakin...

Liput ostettiin hotellin kautta ja ne maksoivat saman verran, mitä paikanpäällä. Hotellilta saadut voucherit käytiin vaihtamassa lippuihin Rockefeller Centerissä. Kaupunkia kannattaa mennä ihastelemaan iltapäivällä ennen auringonlaskua ja jäädä vähäksi aikaa odottelemaan pimeää ja  kaupunginvalojen syttymistä. Henkeäsalpaavaa!


One of the best things in New York was Top of the Rock's observation deck at the Rockefeller Center. I had heard that there is a good view to Empire State Building from Top of the Rock and you should rather go and admire that instead of climbing up to ESB. And yes, we took a lot of pictures including ESB...

We bought the tickets at our hotel and changed the vouchers they gave us at Rockefeller Center. You should go there in the afternoon before sunset and wait for a while when it becomes dark and the city lights are lit. Breathtaking!
